LJ has a new feature that, with a single click on an icon that looks like a giant finger tapping someone's shoulder, will let you spam any mutual friend who hasn't disabled "nudge" and who hasn't posted in a week or more:
Hey [username],
Your mutual friend [Nudger's username] has noticed that you last updated your journal on LiveJournal [x] weeks ago! Be a friend and go post.
