After the prompt arrival of our new furniture at 8:30 am, we took Bailey to the vet. Her abdomen is swollen so much she looks like she swallowed a football.

She has an infected uterus so she needs a hysterectomy. She'll be staying at the vet's tonight, and may have to stay another night after the surgery. I was really worried about her going into surgery given her age (she's 13) & the health problems she's had in the past year, but the vet is hopeful. So I hope there's no complications and she bounces back quickly. I'll find out tomorrow after my class.

Ok so it's only been like 3 weeks, but that's a long time for me! I've missed everyone! Especially the ones who didn't drop me like a hot potato when I stopped updating daily and comment whoring, and especially those of you who expressed concern at my absence. And especially especially pallid_regina who sent me an AWESOME necklace in the mail ~ thank you! <3 *smooches*

I haven't really been pouting for this long, just insanely busy getting the kids back to school & starting a rather intensive business program through Seed. This program should help me launch a business of my own in the next couple of years... at least that's the goal :)

Most of my online time I've spent on etsy, and making some zodiac perfume oils. So far Gemini is my favorite, followed closely by Virgo... and that's as far as I've gotten so far. But I've been pretty good about it, my goal is to do one a day (except weekends) so I should be through them all in less than 2 weeks.

*knocks wood* things are pretty good right now, but the time is going fast as things do when one fills their time with eleventybillionandone projects. And another... *needs to go help Roman clean the living room out for our new furniture* that's coming tomorrow...

I'll try to get back on track with updating soon, but there's not much chance I'll catch up on all the friends page updates! Leave me links if I missed anything please?!

Thanks to pallid_regina I have found a better fit for listing my dreamcatchers and other crafty type stuff on etsy.com. Might be of interest to some of the crafty types on my flist, juniperus's lovely pottery, ajayne's funky sock monkeys, or corwinok's fabulous bindery work to name a few. It's a much better fit than ebay, as pallid_regina suggested, and they keep the listings up for 6 months so I don't have to worry about relisting after a few days or wasting my money on ebay.

So if anyone wants a super cheap deal on any of my dreamcatchers, or other stuff it's now or never, because I won't be listing them on ebay again, on etsy I list them at the selling price.

This is the oil painting I'm working on right now, I thought I'd show you a preview :D

I spent the day running around for my daughter Cheresa. Getting her set up with a bank account, her SIN, some black clothes, and then driving her to work. It took the whole morning! I found out she needs a work permit since she's under 16, and said permit should have been aquired before her first day of work. Her employer said she doesn't need anything from me and I was sure that was wrong, now I know. What sucks is that when we apply for the permit now that she's started, the place she works at will likely be in trouble. Dammit, she asked! Oh well.

This evening I listed a whole bunch of stuff on ebay. Go check it out! Oh yeah, and buy my stuff! :D You won't be disappointed, just ask jazzgoddess and corwinok about my dreamcatchers, pictures really don't do them justice. I hate listing them on ebay because I start them so much cheaper than they're worth, and they don't generally start a bidding war... oh well.

Oh, on a side note. Yesterday's entry was meant to point out the balance of the 'great' day I had previously, and the totally almost couldn't get much worse day yesterday. Sorry for being so cryptic, but there were so many 'disasters' that I didn't want to get into it all. It's better today.

We made it out to the cabin this weekend, and had an AMAZING time (despite missing an eyebrow ~_^) The weather was perfect, the view was spectacular, and it was really hard to leave. I can't believe how many firsts we packed in to less than 48 hours! I'll do a picture post tomorrow, once I get them all uploaded.

Waywardpixie stays, thanks for help in deciding. I guess I'll use needsmorecoffee for some brain leakage or something, the stuff that's not even fit for a livejournal audience. Yesterday I posted some shitty poetry and an even worse fiction blurb in there that I strayed off with when I was working on my book (working on page 3! lol).

I've been reading up on the flist & the whole nipple controversy on LJ this morning. I have to admit, if I were running a breastfeeding community I'd be offended too, so I signed the petition. I breastfed my babies in public, and even though I tried to be discreet I wasn't going to flip if my nipple was showing, and I'd be pretty ticked off if anyone was offended by that. The world needs to get a grip. It's not vulgar or sexual, it's natural. They don't go around insisting pictures of any other nursing mammal be removed.

In other news I love the drive in. Roman and I have gone the last two weekends, Da Vinci Code & Poseidon the weekend before last, and X-Men 3 & The Sentinel last weekend. Roman and I both fell asleep during The Sentinel, but X-Men was great. I don't care what anyone else says about it, it was highly entertaining and I liked it, and since Roman followed the comics when he was young it was also entertaining to see his reaction to some of it, but he liked it too.

The van went in for repairs this morning, and they gave us a jeep to drive in the meantime. Fun :) Other than that I don't have much else to say. My weekend was a blast, Friday night we had some people over and stayed up all night drinking and playing cranium, Saturday night Drive in, and Sunday I spent the day in my PJs working on my book. :D

Somehow I've managed to procrastinate away 2 whole days this week, no writing done, no bread made, nothing. The bread I'll do tomorrow, as it turned out I had to go to autopac this morning to get an estimate for a claim instead. $1600 worth of damage done to our poor van, and it wasn't Roman this time... it was me. My first ever accident, don't worry, no one was hurt, except for the van with her headlight dangling by wires... and the street light was slightly dented too.

I'm never going to live that one down. Now when I drive with Roman he says, "Oh, I'd better drive carefully, there's a lot of street lights lurking around, one might jump out at me." *sigh* Another reason that I don't like to drive.

No laughing at me, if you want to laugh make a smart ass comment so I can laugh too. Laughing at me is just rude. ;)

Today I'm in danger of pissing away my evening trying to find out what Criss Angel's birth data is so I can look up his natal chart. I got stuck in front of the TV this afternoon watching Mindfreak, so I didn't get anything done. Now I'm very curious about just what goes into the pot to make up such a person, and all I've managed to gather for sure is he's a Sagittarius which doesn't explain much at all. It doesn't even explain the mysteriousness & secrecy, or why it's so hard to find accurate birth data... that's more of a Scorpio/Pluto or maybe Neptune thing, Sag's are known for being blunt & brutally honest.

Ok enough blather, I'm going to go be productive somewhere. BTW, it looks like the jiggly buns (so wrong lol) icon is the winner by a landslide, thanks for voting :D *points to new icon* I did this one last night too.

I'm in an awesome mood! Getting away this weekend was exactly what I needed, the only negative side effects are a tendency to accentuate every sentence with 'fuck' or some derivative of it, and a slight sunburn.

Really I don't have anything to say, and I've got nothing to vent about either, but I just revamped my LJ layout so I felt the need to update. I need to get back into my writing this week, so help me god I will finish a book even if it sucks, before I die. My Tarot cards too...

I even did pilates this morning. Haha! That would have been something to see. Good thing the only one home was my 4 year old son, he didn't laugh at me, but he did make up a new excercise that he called 'smacking but', I looked over to see what he was talking about and he was laying on his stomach kicking his bum. *grins*
